Purchase: When I originally purchased my first saddle, I bought an HDR Pro Show Jumping saddle from Dover Saddlery which sat great on my horses back, and I really liked the style. However, because of how tall I am (5'9") my knees extended past the knee rolls, no matter how I adjusted the leathers and seat position, it just didn't work for me. I returned it and bought the Pro Close contact from Adams Horse Supply for $805.00 with a free matching bridle, and was hugely impressed, not to mention packing and delivery was far greater than Dover's.

Likes: What I like about this saddle is it offers both maximum comfort for my horse and I both. It felt almost completely broke in the first time I used it, and it continues to soften up. I ordered this saddle with the extra long flaps to accommodate my long legs and it works perfectly. My position has improved tremendously and I don't feel so stiff when I'm jumping. Overall it is just a great saddle, the quality is similar to what you might find in a much more pricey brand, but for a third of the price.

Dislikes: I can't say there is anything that I don't like. The flaps are a bit larger than I was expecting, they don't have the show jumping style to them, but there are really no negatives on this saddle.

Quality: Quality and construction is great! I recommend regularly cleaning it though to keep it "healthy" and wipe it down after every use. If you take care of it, it will last you for years to come. I would also recommend the printed leather, as the smooth wears away color much faster and can't be buffed out with oil and wax as can the printed.

Summary: Overall, it's an excellent saddle with top quality materials and the comfort needed to perform at your peak, I'd recommend it to beginners and experts alike.
