Purchase: I bought these from State Line Tack a long while ago. I think I paid somewhere between $20-$30 each. I bought one to soak my horse's feet in for an abscess and later bought another to soak 2 feet at once for thrush.
Likes: I like everything. The construction is good quality. I've had one for over 4 years now and it still looks practically new. It's easy to get the hoof in and out. Clean-up is easy, just rinse and let dry. The velcro fastener works perfectly to keep the boot on the hoof. You can even walk the horse around in them without them falling off. I once left a boot on overnight and it stayed, but I wouldn't recommend doing that. Since they move a bit and aren't snug my horse had a raw spot on his heel, but it healed quickly.
Dislikes: Not a thing.
Quality: Excellent construction and good quality materials.
Summary: For the price I feel these soaking boots are great. I haven't tried others so I can't say they are the best, but as far as I'm concerned I won't buy another type. If these ever wear out, they will be replaced with more Davis soaking boots.
