Purchase: I bought this on clearance from Smartpak last summer for $40. My horse needed a blanket for really cold nights in his stall.
Likes: First, the color! The smartblue looks great on my horse. The belly straps are easy to get on/off with gloved hands--a definite plus! This blanket is really warm. It fits true to size, and doesn't pull on my horse's high withers.
Dislikes: The drop is very short, and the blanket tends to slide around.
Quality: This is a really well-made blanket. Two front closures, criss-cross belly straps, and it comes with elastic leg straps. The outside feels like a really soft flymask, while the inside is lined with nylon. There's fleece on the withers as well.
Summary: Beautiful blanket! Nice quality. It won't work for horses requiring a longer drop on their blankets though. Plus, Smartpak donates a portion of the sale to equine aid charities. Especially if you can get this blanket on sale, it's an awesome deal for a really nice blanket.
