Purchase: Bought it from a consignment tack shop for $600
Likes: looked nice, balanced seat, comfortable.
Dislikes: This saddle sored up four of my horses. Even though the saddle looked nice, had decent leather, and was comfortable for me, it absolutely did not fit my horses well. The tree was so wide that it would only fit the largest, most mutton whithered horses. It was supposed to be full quarter horse bars but fit like a wide or extra wide tree.
Quality: leather was decent. Not fabulous but not too bad either. The main thing that I noticed was that the color coating on the fenders wore off and got pretty scraped up looking just from normal wear where it attaches to the saddle. it also stained pretty easily. If one drop of water got on it there was a stain mark left.
Summary: Only buy this saddle if you have a very broad rope horse. In my opinion for the money there are much nicer saddles out there. The billy cooks made in Sulfur Ok are much nicer than the new ones made in Texas.
