Purchase: Bought straight from Teskeys Saddle shop. Cost was about $1,500 after shipping, etc. I ordered a 16" and they sent me a 15.5" then when I called them to fix it they avoided me and later denied ever even talking to me.
Likes: Great leather, comfortable seat, beautiful look.
Dislikes: the metal pieces for changing your stirrup length started slicing into the fenders right away. I had to tape up my stirrups to prevent it.
Quality: I loved everything about this saddle as far as appearance, leather quality, and comfort. However, when I first got the saddle I noticed that it looked like the tree was a little bit crooked. At the time I blew it off thinking the right concho was just placed a little off. Within a couple of months all of my horses were refusing to turn to the right. I changed saddles and no more problem. Once again I called Teskeys about this major manufacturer flaw and they couldn't care less. They refused to refund the saddle, trade it for a new one, or do jack squat. They said if I wanted to trade it in they would give me a used saddle value to trade it in. They acted like it was no big deal that they had made a saddle that defective.
Summary: I won't deal with Teskeys again. Had they simply resolved the problems with sending me the wrong size and a defective tree I probably would have had a completely different outlook on the saddle as I liked everything else. However after the way they treated the situation I will never work with them again.
