Purchase: I wanted a pair of tall boots for general schooling and trail riding, not show. So, something nice enough to break in comfy and casually enjoy for years to come, but not to have to worry about.
These were on sale for around $90.00 at Equestrian Corner, and run anywhere from $150 sale to $269 regular retail elsewhere online.
Likes: They are nicely styled with a classic toe box, leather lined and high spanish tops. They have a bit thicker sole material than the high end boots, which is good for overall durability factor given my intended use.
The boot leather is new so, of course, it is very firm, but it LOOKS nice. They are pretty boots.
Dislikes: The zippers are STIFF. They stick more on one boot than the other so I am very careful to zip slow and not break it.
(This could change as boot breaks in)
I am tall (5'9") but the boots are taller! They go over my knee in front and higher than the back of my knee, so hopefully they will drop the 2 inches predicted by manufacturer.
Quality: I would say it is appropriate to a boot in the $150.00 price range. The seams and leather and overall construction look good - the sticky zipper is the only concern.
Summary: For a tall, lined, genuine leather field boot purchased on discount for under $100, I am pleased with the overall boot for the price I paid.
