Purchase: I was looking for a nice dressage bridle for my Arabian cross. After several brands and size attempts, I finally gave up and decided to try a bridle specifically built for an Arabian head. I got this bridle online from English Habit for about $145.00.
Likes: It is beautiful, thin (1/2 cheek), padded caveson w/flash, nice attention to detail and the leather softened up after just one oiling.
The buckle end to bit has a nice leather wear guard, as does the buckle end on the reins, which are web with rubber grip.
Dislikes: Absolutely nothing in regards to appearance function and quality.
It is still a bit long. I have it on the the top hole on each side and the bit is till a little low. My Arab cross is 15.3 and 1000 lbs and has a standard Arabian head.
It seems that an Arab specific sized bridle would be shorter to accommodate the short head.
That being said, it does fit perfectly everywhere else.
Quality: It is well made with even, tight stitching.
Leather is soft and high quality.
It looks like a much more expensive bridle!
Summary: I am very happy with the bridle overall. it is gorgeous and I love it.
If you have a horse with a shorter than average Arab head, this bridle will most likely not solve your fit problem.
