Model: High Plains
Category: Trail Saddles
Purchase: I bought it from Pleasant Hills in Lakeville, MN. I needed a lighter saddle then my older Circle Y... I took it out almost as a joke and ended up absolutely loving it.
Likes: The gel seat was to die for. I could ride in it all day and get off and feel fine. The saddle was pretty light considering that it still was a full western square skirt, etc. I loved the color of it and I personally really loved that it had no tooling on it at all. Very easy to keep clean, nice, soft leather. Very nice saddle! I really like the wool underneath - it stayed in excellent condition and showed very little wear.
Dislikes: The seams on jeans made quite a few rubs in it. I don't know if it was because of the type of dye or the type of tanning for the leather.
Quality: Very good quality. Nice and solid.
Summary: Love this saddle! Very comfortable to ride in, fit my horse like a glove.
Usefulness Rating: 2.5 out of 5.
