Purchase: I needed new jumping boots for my sensitive horse, and sheepskin seemed gentle enough. I had to decide between Eskadron and these, but I'm not a huge fan of the velcro on horse boots as I find everything finds a way of sticking to it, and these boots had a different closure mechanism. I ordered these in brown from 123tack, for about $204.55.
Likes: I love how these boots don't bother my horses legs. He is so sensitive to neoprene boots, and a lot of others, and these don't seem to bug him at all. Another thing is how they seem to contour the horse's legs perfectly. I feel like these were made for him! Lastly I love how these don't use velcro to close.
Dislikes: I find the sheepskin a little hard to clean, and the price is a bit expensive, but its totally worth it.
Quality: With full non-allergenic & orthopedic sheepskin lining. The most advanced, with carbon fiber and gel technology this is the best fitting and performing open front boot for jumpers. The anatomic design gives more freedom of movement to knee and fetlock, while providing maximum comfort and support. The dual density shell provides more protection. The main shell is composed of semi-rigid polyurethane while the rear "x" strike plate is made of carbon fiber to provide extreme durability and protection after repeated strikes. The gel lining in the strike plate provides the ultimate in shock protection. Elastic straps are soft and self-adjustable to any size leg eliminating problems of excessive pressure. Fast release ferrules with narrowing hook holes allow fast and easy hooking and release, without compromising security. Made in Italy
Summary: I would buy these for any other horse I might own in the future.
