Purchase: I bought a horse, and he came with all of his tack. I believe this is an older model, as it is much darker. I think it's about $1,500 new.
Likes: I love how comfortable it is. It's like sitting on a cloud. Probably one of the most comfortable saddles I've ever sat in. It also is great for shows, my bum never gets sore for the hours I'm waiting around on my horse for my class. Another thing is how well scratches and water stains buff out. I was getting off of my horse one day, and my belt buckle scraped all the way down one of the leg flaps and left a massage scratch. I thought I had ruined the saddle, but after two cleanings it was completely gone.
Dislikes: I find that the newer Pessoas aren't and nice as the old ones. Also, some of the stitching on the leg flaps, and the cantle have come undone.
Quality: Created by Rodrigo for serious young competitors. Made in "Chamont" French cowhide leather. The long flap is one inch longer and wider than the regular flap. In printed leather.
Summary: I think it's a quality saddle. I don't think I would buy a new Pessoa, but if I ever found an older model on consignment I would probably pick it up.
