Purchase: I had been looking for a reining saddle since march of 08. I had our local tack shop to saddle fit my horses to numerous saddles to find out nothing would fit them, (narrow and high withers) and she recommend trying to find a circle Y semi quarter horse bars.. after looking online and not being able to find one, someone had brought one into our tack shop, and it was everything I was looking for in a saddle. So without a second thought I bought it.. it was a consignment sale, looked brand new, I don't know weather she tried it and it didn't fit her horse or what but to me it looked new. I paid $1,400cnd, and it retails for $1,900USD
Likes: I like everything about this saddle.. it looks great, has a close contact feel, nice deep seat, which is extremely comfortable, and the rigging is in all the right places.
Dislikes: The only thing I would change are the fenders.. I have the stirrups set to the highest setting, and still a tiny bit to long (I'm 5'3).. it seems like its built for a tall person. It's not really dislike but I would have preferred to have had a suede seat rather then leather, but that's just a personal choice.
Quality: It's good quality leather, felt broke in, with the first ride, it is very comfortable!.
Summary: I am extremely happy with this saddle, I think its a great product for the price you pay.
I don't get to ride as much as I would like due to work, and everyone kept telling me to by a Bob's Custom saddle, but to the average person who doesn't show and/or compete I think its hard to make sense of a $4000 dollar saddle. But with the Circle Y its has to looks and comfort to be a great showing saddle without spending a lot of money.
