Purchase: Purchased this saddle second hand for $1300 AUD as it was a very good buy and I'd heard good things about it.
Likes: The saddle looked nice and the leather was smooth brown and of good quality. Easy change gullet was good as were the wide flat panels which evenly distributed the weight over the horses back.
Dislikes: This saddle caused me major problems as a rider in the crotch area. Seemed fine at first but after riding in it a few times it became clear that I was going to be very uncomfortable in it. Persisted with it for too long and ended up with a very sore crotch! Not very user friendly and have met many other women who have had similar experiences with this particular saddle so beware.
Quality: Well constructed with good quality leather. The one I had was a special order made in Australia. I don't think this is the case with the standard ones that are sold in stores though.
Summary: A lovely looking saddle that seems well made for the comfort of the horses back but definitely be aware that you need to ride in this saddle several times before you make a decision to commit to riding in it long term. Please be advised that your personal regions may be in for some serious side affects from riding in this brand of saddle.
