Purchase: I bought my vest for $59, minus shipping and tax, from Bit of Britain.
Likes: I love the slim styling and the thin-yet-warm insulation. (I almost returned the vest because it seemed so insubstantial for the money, but when I put it on I quickly realized that it was warm indeed!) I also love the pretty plaid pattern, which looks sharp with shirts of various colors underneath it, and the sturdy two-way zipper. Because it's thin, it's very comfortable to ride in -- I've worn it with a long-sleeved shirt in 25-degree and stayed warm. I get compliments every time I wear this vest.
Dislikes: The vest isn't going to keep you warm on its own in absolutely frigid weather, but I don't think that was the maker's intent anyway!
Quality: The vest seems to be very well made -- sturdy zipper, careful tailoring. The fabric and fleece trim are of good quality. The vest is machine washable, which is nice.
Summary: The Perfect Vest comes pretty darned close to living up to its name. It looks great and, depending on the temperature, serves as a nice layer or works on its own to keep you warm.
