Purchase: I paid $157 for these chaps at the Tack Trunk, in St. Louis, after trying various other brands and finding them wanting.
Likes: These chaps are supremely comfortable -- the leather is supple, plus it's easy to clean/polish to a nice shine -- and the styling makes your leg look loooong and slim. The zipper and snaps are sturdy without being clunky.
Dislikes: I sometimes find it difficult to get the snaps done up without something of a fight, but that's probably just me! The stitching at the bottom of the elasticized panel seems to be loosening a bit, but the chaps have seen fairly hard use for the last year and it's an easy fix for the shoe repairman.
Quality: Other than the loose stitching, which is likely a consequence of how much they're used, I'm very happy with the quality -- the leather's nice and supple and the hardware is durable.
Summary: There's a reason so many people wear these chaps, and they're definitely worth the price.
