Purchase: I bought these boots from Dover saddlery about two weeks ago for a steal of $199. I purchased the size 8.5, medium height, slim calf pair.
Likes: There are soooo many great things about these field boots! The leather is very soft and supple from day one. They felt broken in right when I put them on. The boots are great from schooling to even high class shows. For the price, they are the best boots out there!!! The inside soles are cushiony and give me a lot of support while in the saddle and on the ground; at the same time they are fashionable and able to fit practically any size rider (I recommend Ariat strongly because of their wide variety of sizes).
Dislikes: There is absolutely nothing I don't like about these boots.
Quality: The construction is beautiful, the leather is a nice shiny black yet "grip-y" at the same time, and the soles haven't come close to wearing down even from the constant usage. The quality is AMAZING for the economic price ( just be careful with the zipper, I've heard they break a lot even though mine haven't yet).
Summary: BUY THESE FIELD BOOTS!!! For the amazing price and exceptional quality, you won't be put down one bit. You can use them for highly rated shows or even just schooling and always get compliments on them like I do. :-)
