Purchase: I saw the pads at a horse show in Wellington Fl. Ive been looking for a seamless saddle pad to fit under my treeless saddle, and the pad seemed to be just what I was looking for.
Before i made the purchase I did some research online to be sure it would work for my saddle.
I paid $99 for the pad.
Likes: The instant I sat in the saddle I noticed a huge difference in my horse. She was so relaxed and even at the walk moved so much more freely. She felt soft and responsive and had a swing to her stride that i had never felt before.
I have a treeless dressage saddle, and it has worked very well for us, but finding a pad that didn't rub was impossible.
I used the Thinline pad over a baby pad.
Dislikes: There is nothing to dislike about the pad.
it functions exactly as described
Quality: The Thinline pad is a very sturdy foam/rubber material Most equine products work on a compression basis, meaning they compress then spring back or, like gel, move away from pressure. What makes ThinLine unique is its technology. ThinLine is an open-cell foam which moves shock, weight, and heat laterally. Beginning as a liquid, microscopic cells are poured into a mold then polarized so each cell lies end to end creating a tunnel. Another layer is poured on top and polarized in a new direction. In each ThinLine pad, this process is repeated hundreds of times creating a honey comb matrix. This process allows ThinLine to absorb shock distribute weight and ventilate. ThinLine products also carry tensile strength so that pressure is evenly distributed; filling in hollow points and relieving pressure points. Unlike compression based foams ThinLine never bottoms out.
very high quality material.
Summary: I would recommend this pad for any discipline. Horses with or without back problems, for riders with or without saddle fit problems.
This pads really does what they claim.
