Purchase: I recently purchased this saddle online from State Line Tack in Rochester, NY. I paid $1489.
Likes: I have been looking for over two years for a saddle that would fit me, and which was comfortable! I finally found it in this saddle. I especially love the knee rolls, which are incredibly comfortable and which hold me like a glove. If my horse stops suddenly or refuses a jump, they really prevent you from slipping forward. Further, the removable thigh blocks, which I use, also prevent your leg from slipping back in the saddle. Additionally, the "soft seat" is also incredibly comfortable. My last saddle was a Collegiate Marathon, so I was used to a comfortable seat. This rivals the Marathon for comfort. Further, it seems that every time I ride in the saddle it gets more comfortable, as if it is comforming to my body. This saddle has so many great "little" features too. The stirrup leather slits rather than the customary leather tabs are a great feature. Not only do they hide the excess leather making for a neater overall appearance, but they will never break off! Lastly, the two-toned leather makes for a rich appearance, and it goes with either black or brown tack. When I first saw it online, I didn't really care for it, but once I saw it first hand, I loved the color combination. And I have gotten so many complements from others on the two-toned leather. This is a great saddle!
Dislikes: If I were going to find fault with it I would want the flaps to be a little longer/wider. The Vision comes in an extra forward/extra long version for those with long legs. I have a long thigh, which is why I had such difficulty finding a saddle to fit me, but I don't want an extra forward flap. I would like the "regular" version of this saddle to come in an extra long flap.
Summary: I would absolutely recommend this saddle to anyone. Even though billed as a "close contact", because of the way it positions your leg and holds you, it is equally suited for dressage or jumping or just plain hacking.
