Purchase: I have two. One used from ebay was $600. I used it for a couple years and bought another one new for about $1100.
Likes: These are the most comfortable saddles I've owned. They do NOT have padded seats, but I can ride for 6-8 hours and not feel sore at all. This past fall, I lent one to a friend for a week long riding vacation in N. Dak. He was amazed at how good he felt after all day rides. Now, I've had good roping saddles, names such as Dale Martin, circle Y, billy cook, and rocking r. I've even had two custom made by big name makers. Now I've sold them all and kept only my east texas saddles.
Dislikes: I have not found anything yet that I don't like, and I am pretty picky.
Quality: Construction seems very good. The seat is narrower and closer to the horse than some of the others. The skirt is cut back to allow your legs to hang closer to the horse on my newer one. Leather seems top-notch.
Summary: If I had to criticize the saddle, I would probably have to say the tooling isn't the best I've seen. But considering the price is roughly half or less than I've paid for less functional saddles, I feel like is is a good trade-off.
