Jumping Saddles

For Sale on eBay

Manufacturer: Bruno Delgrange
Model: PJ Pro
Category: Jumping Saddles

Purchase: This saddle came from Rick's Heritage Saddlery in NJ. Price of this saddle is now about $3500.00. Rick's takes trade ins of certain saddle models and I was lucky enough to have two saddles that I could offer to negotiate the price down.

Likes: I purchased the mid-seat model. The Original didn't allow me enough freedom over fences and the Light was too much like the old Beval Devon 2000 I was moving away from. I have a horse who is a big Warmblood cross and he's a big, scopey jumper. I wanted a saddle with enough "seat " to stay with him and this saddle does the job perfectly.

Dislikes: The only thing I didn't like was the initial break-in process. Other than that it will be the only saddle I would ever own.

Quality: The Delgrange comes in 3 seat depths, the PJ Original has the deepest seat. The PJ Pro is the mid seat, the PJ Light is the flat seat. The leather is excellent. The seat is a softer leather for comfort. The panels and billet straps are heavier and it does take a while to break in but once it does you won't part with this saddle. I would say it is very comparable to the Beval Butet.

Summary: Yes, the Delgrange saddles are expensive but worth the money. If you are a serious rider wanting a serious saddle then I recommend trying the Delgrange saddles.
