Purchase: I purchased these protective boots through Dover Saddlery for $14.90 on sale. I needed some protective boots that were soft, unrestricting, yet highly protective. I also couldn't afford to buy expensive boots for both horses.
Likes: These boots are nice. They have different colors and sizes to choose from. I got a size Small for my Arabian and a size Large for my Oldenburg. They fit perfectly. My horses have excellent ease of movement with them on. They are washable and the price was awesome.
Dislikes: It's minor, I just wish they would come in XL so that my Oldenburg could have hind boots too...maybe one day.
Quality: They come in several colors to choose from, they come in size Small, Medium and Large only. They have hook & loop velcro closures so that you can get a feel of when the boot is securely and safely on the horse's leg...less chance of over-tightening. They are foam-filled with leather padding in the splint area. They are machine washable and low maintenance.
Summary: If you can't afford the top-of-the-line boots on the market, I would suggest trying these. Of course, if I did have the money to get my horses the expensive sheepskin lined boots, I would...but these are GREAT for someone who's on a budget and protect your horse's legs very well.
