Category: Trail Saddles
Purchase: On Ebay new for $350.
Likes: Very well made. The synthetic material feels and looks like leather. Extremely comfortable even after long trail rides (4+ hours). My horse moves freely with this saddle. I bought this saddle looking for a cheap alternative while waiting for my new Torsion to arrive. I am so pleasantly surprised at how comfortable this saddle is! Now that my Torsion has arrived, I kept this saddle for a spare. My biggest plus points as far as features for this saddle were: 1) "e" rings for stirrup leather fittings instead of closed D rings, so I didn't have to use safety stirrups with this saddle as my leathers will release if I fall off & am being dragged. 2) The underneath of the saddle offers flexible support similar to that of a treed saddle. The support is adjustable to allow it to fit a variety of sizes, from narrow to wide without having to purchase any special "wither arches" like in other saddles. You still need a good pad that's designed for a treeless saddle, but the fit and feel of the saddle is very secure & even people who don't like the feel of traditional treeless saddles seem to like this one.
Dislikes: Shipping was like $100 because they are out of the UK - still a great overall price for the saddle.
Quality: Well stitched. Takes a dressage girth & the leather straps are reinforced and look like they are built to last many years.
Summary: Great value in a treeless saddle for the money. Definitely comparable to other brands that cost hundreds more. They also offer a leather version if you don't like synthetic - but the synthetic doesn't appear to sacrifice quality. It looks just like leather.
