Purchase: I ordered this bit from Dover Saddlery for about $36. I bought this bit after reading reviews on Dover's site that praised this bit for horses with sensitive mouths.
Likes: I love this bit, and so does my TB gelding. I was having problems with him accepting the bit, and when he finally did, he would chew and chomp constantly. He's very sensitive in the mouth, and the full cheek snaffle he was being ridden in was too strong. This bit solves every one of those problems:the copper alloy is sweet and promotes salivation, and the french link makes him happy because it's more mild.
Dislikes: Nothing! So far it's wonderful.
Quality: Very good quality construction, solid and well-made. The gold color really is kind of pretty.
Summary: Great bit for horses with sensitive mouths-they really seem to like it. I noticed a difference the first time I used it, my gelding immediately accepted the bit and didn't fuss at all. Amazing!
