Purchase: I purchased an SE01 (grain buffalo) directly from CWD for $3900 because my previous saddle did not fit my horse correctly.
Likes: This saddle is gorgeous. Beautiful, grippy leather that breaks in very quickly. Comfortable for both me and my horse, and it sits me just perfectly. Very secure ride.
Dislikes: Not much to dislike, really, it does seem to be a bit heavier than most saddles, though.
Quality: Construction and quality are top notch -- what you would expect from a high-end French saddle. Cut away panels under the flap are fantastic -- not only do they make it easy to wrap your leg around your horse, the upper part of the panel is flexible to accommodate your horse's shoulder. Bonus is that you can adjust the paneling in a few places to fit your horse perfectly -- easy to customize fit.
Summary: CWD makes terrific products and their sales staff is responsive, pleasant, and extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend!
