Purchase: I purchased this saddle From The Stagecoach West. Bar J is their Name Brand. Paid $1099.00
Likes: Super quality saddle for the money. Designed on a Steele Evolution Tree. Beautiful Rich Walnut color. Pre-turned fenders, soft padded seat with a nice center of balance. Came with EZ Glide Leather Covered Trail Stirrups, and Endurance Rigging. Customer service was amazing, Nice to talk to other horse owners who actually know what they are selling because they use their equipment as well and not just sell it.
Dislikes: Can't say a bad thing about this saddle.
Quality: USA Made, hand tooled, stainless steel hardware, plenty of ties for your trail bags, loved the pre-turned fenders, Trees are available in 3 widths, med, wide and xwide. Super soft high quality leather which is a rich walnut color and also available in Black as well. Nice balanced seat for trail riding. Steele Evolution Tree fit my gaited horses like a glove. I am always concerned when not being able to actually touch a saddle before you buy, but was more than amazed and the quality and the fit of this saddle when I received it.
Summary: The Customer service at The Stagecoach West was simply by fair the biggest asset. They offered a 10 day trail period and if I couldn't get my saddle back to them in 10 days they required only a phone call, and no extra charges. Also a full refund if the saddle did not fit my horses.
This saddle fit in a wide tree fit my wide shoulder Rocky Mountain Horse like a glove, and also my Kentucky Mountain horse as well. Would Highly Recommend this saddle to the serious trail rider and or gaited horse owner.
