Purchase: I have purchased 6 saddles from Montana Mountain Horse paying in the $595 to $1000 range. Melissa at Mountain Horse, Inc. asked if I would give my review as there are at least 2 reviews on this website that she feels are probably from competitors as they do not sound like any customer she has sold too and are not an accurate review of her product. I came across this company a few years back as most of my horses are draft crosses, mixed breeds and hard to fit with "off the shelf" saddles and Montana Mountain Horse can build saddles that fit my horses!
Likes: Love first of all the great customer service and the excellent product for the price. Leather quality is excellent (spend the extra $100 for the upgraded leather--well, well worth it!), construction is excellent, fit is great if you do the saddle fitting program and that's worth it right there. Best of all, the customization allowed is incredible. I have talked to saddle makers that build $4000 saddles that don't offer the options that this company does!!
Dislikes: Nothing.
Quality: Excellent. I use my saddles for outfitting and long, hard trail rides in the mountains. They are exceptionally durable and look great after 100's of rides.
Summary: Whoever is attempting to besmirch the name of this company should be ashamed of themselves. These are comfortable, affordable saddles that FIT my horses. I couldn't ask for more and will continue to be a customer of MontanaMountainHorse.com for life.
