Purchase: Bought from horse.com for $350; changed the stirrups to laced covered ralide for trail riding
Likes: It weighs less than 25 lbs. so its easy to lift and tack up. The leather is heavy and oils up nicely. The padded suede seat is very comfortable and I feel secure when trail riding. The barbwire tooling adds a nice touch too. It fits 2 of my QHs. You can't beat the price for this quality made saddle!
Dislikes: About the only thing that I don't like is its not easy to lengthen or shorten the stirrups. The leathers are nice n' thick but I just have a hard time. A little saddle soap makes them slide.
Quality: Good solid tree, horn and cantle, the fleece is thick too. I've owned Circle Y's that cost and weigh a lot more, but the quality is very good for the price.
Summary: For such nice quality leather and construction it's not a heavy saddle. I usually trail ride 2-3 hours 3-4 times a week and it fits me and my horses. Definitely worth what I paid.
