Purchase: I purchased these from the manufacturer's website. I paid $169, plus shipping. My horse has very round feet and none of the EasyBoots fit her. I keep her barefoot, but she can get sore riding on rougher terrain.
Likes: The Renegades are actually easy to put on! I emailed photos to Kirt, and he helped me choose the correct size and even customized the boots at no charge. I was concerned that my drama queen horse would have a hard time adjusting to wearing the boots, but she did great. I think her stride was longer, and she didn't tiptoe around rocky areas. Boots seem very well made, and the website offers lots of photos and detailed instructions on installing, adjusting, and caring for the boots. The boots don't have a gator to collect burrs and whatnot on trail rides, but employ a "heel captivator" to stabilize the boot. Customer service was fabulous!
Dislikes: I wish they came in purple! Apparently, purple isn't UV stable. They do come in lots of other colors, so you don't have to have boring black boots.
Quality: Very well made. Padded in important areas. Nice thick sole.
Summary: I was nervous spending this much on boots I had never seen, but I couldn't be happier with them. Great customer service and fast shipping. Money very well spent, as my horse is much more comfortable!
