Purchase: At the suggestion of a guy I trail ride with, I bought this. State Line Tack had a good price so I bought it from them for $729.99.
Likes: This is a very comfortable trail saddle. The leather is soft and smooth. It has a nicely padded seat, not too much, not too little. It broke in well and it fit my trail horse perfectly. It came with a string girth but I use a Professionals' Choice that I had already.
Dislikes: Nothing.
Quality: I have never had complaints with Simco. They make a nice quality saddle and this is no exception. The tree is a Pro-Tuff, it has semi quarter horse bars, leather-covered stirrups, a 3+ inch horn and 3/4 rigging. As I said before, the leather is nice and soft and it breaks in well. I'll likley get years out of this one.
Summary: My other saddles are mostly used for showing so I needed a basic trial saddle and didn't want to spend a fortune. I found what I was looking for in this model and would recommend it to others.
