Purchase: I bought a 4 set of these boots on valleyvet.com for $74.99 on sale. I was looking for trail boots, and it seemed like a good deal for all 4 boots.
Likes: I really like these boots. I have used Professional's Choice SMB boots in the past, and I find these comparable to the Pro's choice. The Brookside boots are more contoured and provide a snugger fit to the leg. The stitching is very tight and strong, durable enough for strenuous trail rides or schooling. The velcro is great and they are super easy to put on. The lining at the top and bottom keep dirt out, and the boot has an extra thickness on the inside of the cannon bone for extra splint protection, which the pro's choice do not have. They do not rub my horse and stay in place well. I find the Brookside boots to be equal in quality and style to the Pro's Choice SMB 3 boots (but much cheaper!) I am very happy with my purchase.
Dislikes: I have only owned these boots for a short time so I don't know how they hold up over a long time, but I expect they will last me quite a while.
The only thing I was disappointed about is that there is no difference between the front and the hind boot - the are the exact same boot.
Quality: Very good quality. Good materials, good stitching.
Summary: A good pair of boots for the money, especially if you are looking for an alternative to the very pricey Pro's Choice SMB boots.
