Purchase: I purchased the saddle gently used for $1350.00
Likes: The saddle is wonderful in regards to workmanship, stickability of the leather, and the leather quality, and it is amazingly comfortable!
Admittedly this saddle was already broken in when I purchased it (for the most part) So I have not experienced any difficulties with a saddle that is too slippery.
The biggest feature worth mentioning about this saddle is that if you are a short rider (like myself; under 5'0") this is the saddle for you. It is specifically designed to accommodate the short rider, and it does so beautifully. I would recommend this saddle to anyone who is on the short side, having difficulty finding a saddle to truly fit them.
Also, this saddle comes with both short and long billets, so there is an option as far as girthing is concerned.
If you have not owned a Stubben you will be pleasantly surprised by all the small attention to detail and lovely quality of leather used. If you have owned a Stubben; you will note that this saddle fits true to their name and quality of workmanship and materials.
Dislikes: The stubben Elk leather tends to fade to a grey colour when worn extensively. Though my saddle has not yet begun to fade, I have seen other models where the leather has begun fading on the seat specifically.
Quality: Amazing attention to detail, supple soft beautiful leather.
Summary: A wonderful saddle at a reasonable price (even new)
