Purchase: I purchased this saddle new from Dover Saddlery in December. I paid, with shipping, $785.00. The saddle was purchased as an upgrade from a cheaper, older close contact saddle.
Likes: The seat and knee rolls were well constructed with very soft, high quality leather. The front and rear blocks were great. The saddle put me in the correct position from the beginning. I will also say that Dover's customer service has been amazingly great to deal with. I will definitely purchase from them in the future.
Dislikes: The knee rolls and seat were constructed of amazingly soft leather...the rest of the saddle was like cardboard. I rode in the saddle for a total of 3 months and it never even started to break in. There were two silver dollar sized marks that actually looked like someone had taken a razor blade and scraped the surface of the leather on the panels underneath the stirrup leathers. I always rode in tall boots or half chaps and I only used Nunn Finer leathers with this saddle, so this never should have happened. I am very disappointed in the quality of the leather on most of the saddle. Dover should be embarrassed that they produce such low- quality goods.
Quality: The actual construction of the saddle is good, but the quality of the leather is absolutely terrible!
Summary: Will buy from Dover again due to the fact that they were very helpful and understanding, but I will never purchase another Circuit saddle.
