Purchase: I ordered this saddle directly from Synergist at a local horse expo. I wanted a lightweight, balanced endurance saddle that fit me as well as my short-backed horse.The base price on the saddle was $2399, but Synergist was running a show special-$300 discount. My trainer highly recommended Synergist.
Likes: It is totally custom! I made a mold of my horse's back using the Equimeasure kit included in the saddle price. CJ took many measurements (of me) at the show, so the saddle fits me perfectly as well. I sent the mold to Dave and CJ in Wyoming, and CJ called to confirm all of my choices before starting work on my saddle. I received my saddle within 2 weeks! The leather is awesome and the craftsmanship is amazing. Synergist offers a 45 day trial on your custom saddle, and will make any adjustments during that period at no charge, but I haven't found anything I need to change! The seat is balanced, and doesn't throw you into a chair seat. Posting is effortless. Fenders are free swinging and there is no "torque" on my knees and ankles since the leather is so supple. The saddle comes with endurance stirrups with nice wide, padded treads. I added an extra padded seat to my saddle.
Dislikes: Nothing. I can't complain about price or turnaround time, which is unusual for a custom saddle!
Quality: Very well made, by hand, in Wyoming, by a family company. Hand dyed. The saddle was custom fit to my horse's back, and Synergist will adjust it for a nominal fee as her back changes. LOADS of options for a custom saddle. Very lightweight.
Summary: Great saddle and a great company to work with. I will have this saddle forever, and my husband is kicking himself for not buying one as well!
