Purchase: After six months of searching for a used Passier saddle, I found the Comet FS. This model has a more forward cut flap and a shallow seat for tackling any jumping course. This model was very difficult to find, and retails for $3000 new. I was able to find my used saddle for $1800 through a small tack store across the country.
Likes: This Passier model has a very balanced seat and is quite comfortable. Despite it being shallow, I have been able to sit any unexpected bucks or dramatics on behalf of my horse quite well!
It's a beautiful havanna brown and is aesthetically pleasing as well as practical. The cut-back pommel allows plenty of room for a big shoulder/high wither for uphill or "shark finned" conformation.
Dislikes: It was almost impossible to find used was my only complaint!
Quality: The leather has excellent quality and is built on the PS tree, for which Passier is famous for.
Summary: An excellent saddle for a reasonable price.
