Purchase: I bought this halter on Big Dee's Tack and Vet Supplies website, a few months ago. It was on sale for $17 or 2 for $14 each.
I got 2 since I was looking for a leather halter and had planned on spending about $30 for one. This way I got two halters for what I had expect to pay for one.
Likes: The main thing I like about this halter is the price.
A friend got a new leather halter from a local tack shop, paid much more and you can not tell hers apart from mine. Better yet I have a spare and she does not.
I got the horse sized halter and it fits my OTTB perfectly. It is also fully adjustable, which usually comes on the pricier halters.
Dislikes: It did take a few liberal applications of oil to soften the leather to make it workable. Due to the stiffness of the leather it was difficult to work the buckles at first.
Quality: The construction and quality are very good on this halter. The leather is good quality and the color matches other english tack that I have in the "havana" brown color. The color description says chestnut, but I would definitely call it havana.
Summary: I would definitely recommend this halter.
