Purchase: This is one of the pads used at the stables regularly. I believe it was around $30-$35.
Likes: The fleece is very good quality. The riser works very well on a horse that needs that type of padding. The fleece is also very thick.
Dislikes: The front of the pad always slides under the cantle and eventually gives my horse pain. The girth is on tightly, breastplate attached, and the velcro straps on the pad around the underside of the saddle, so basically the pad is not very well designed to stay in front of the saddle. Also, the riser back always shifts to one side, making it so half of my saddle is touching the horse directly and half is not (although, it this is probably due to me riding heavier in one leg).
Quality: The quality is average and the construction is OK. The design could be little bit better, since this pad IS supposed to fit my 16.5" saddle that is not wide at all on the underside.
Summary: This saddle pad is ok for schooling once in a while but for shows, it would probably look not the best. Although, for the price, it's a great buy for any stable or rider.
