Purchase: I purchased ultra spot for around $13.
Likes: I work in a tack store and have dealt with many customers on this product as well as the other brands, freedom 45 and equi-spot etc. They are all really identical in content. They do work for the majority of horses and the ease and frequency of application is convenient.
Dislikes: If your horse is at all sensitive, sick or old/young, do not use these products. There can be some pretty bad reactions including loss of skin and open wound type reactions. It is highly concentrated chemicals so this is to be expected. There are some people who have reactions to it as well. Just something to be aware of. You have to weigh the risk againt the possible benefits and the health of your horse. Mine was fine but I saw several other horses with reactions.
Quality: Quality is fine.
Summary: If your horse is pastured and not groomed on a daily basis it is far better to use this product than to have the horse miserable. If you groom and tend to your horse on a daily basis I would recommend fly spray over the high conent of chemicals in these products. Also, I would recommend ultra spot over the other brands because it is safe to use their ultra shield fly spray if needed. You can't use other fly sprays with these products because of potential reactions.
