Purchase: I researched gaited saddles on line and found Dixieland Saddles. I have a gaited horse and needed a special saddle for him. Total cost w/ extras was $1118.00 ( included shipping.)
Likes: I see a total difference in the performance of my horse, walk, trot, gait, and canter. He responds better and seems to be more at ease on the trails. As far as comfort for the rider, I am 100% satisfied. I could ride all day.
Dislikes: There is not one thing I don't like about it.
Quality: Dixieland sent fit forms to me, and I took pictures and sent them back. They could not have fit my horse better had I taken him down there. They absolutely know what they are doing. The tooling also was absolutely gorgeous. The construction was ( stitching, quality of leather, design, tree, padding,etc.) by far one of the best I have seen.
Summary: I was undecided about a few things I wanted, and with Cynthia's help, we put together a beautiful saddle, she was a lot of help, and very nice to work with. Turn around after ordering was fast, and when I received my new saddle, I just could not believe the quality of craftsmanship that went into it. I would highly recommend Dixieland saddles to anyone looking for a high quality saddle at a very good cost.
