Purchase: I bought this pad from Smartpak Equine for $229.00. Make sure you buy from Smartpak because they carry the newest version of the pad which is the contour version.
Likes: I like everything about this pad. It conforms to the the horses back perfectly and is very cushiony. The new version also has a high wither clearance, and more coverage for the shoulders. It is totally spine free and does not sink down when you ride. Even at the end of my ride it is still not crushing the horses withers. I have never found another pad that stayed of the horses spine and withers before. Also as the horse body temperature heats up the pad gets softer and completely conforms to his back.
Dislikes: Pretty pricey, but worth every penny!
Quality: Excellent quality and construction. Very good quality leather. I really have no complaints. Even my trainer wants to buy one of these pads now. I experiment with saddle pads a lot and have tried everything out there from sheepskin, to the thinline, to the cavallo and I will never use any other pad again after buying my Equifit.
Summary: Just spend the money for this pad, it's totally worth it and your horse will love you for it.
