Purchase: I bought this product about one month ago from Chicks Discount Saddlery. I needed a stay-put pad for my wintec saddle. I paid about $20.00 for it.
Likes: Nothing but the price. I also liked the fact that it was from Chick's (not anymore).
Dislikes: On the website , chicks described it as "the stay put pad", THAT IS A LIE!!!!
It slips out from underneath the saddle after about twenty minutes of riding. The website also claims that it has nylon billet straps and a girth keeper. It didn't even come with them!!. Also, it developed a large rip after about three weeks of mild riding. Lastly,
it is too small for my saddle. It fits the saddle flaps fine , but is way to short in the back. The saddle ends up sitting directly on my horses back.
Quality: Extremely poor quality. Cheap fleece and workmanship. Insufficient stitching. Very stiff and felt-like. Also , when it arrived , it had horsehair already on it, suggesting that it was already used then returned , the store claimed it was brand new.
Summary: A cheap pad for a cheap price, be careful what you buy at Chicks. You can find a much higher quality pad for around the same price elsewhere. I suggest the hitching post tack store , or horse tack co.
