Purchase: Two weeks ago I purchased this calming supplement from River City Pet Supply in Williamsport, Maryland. I got an 8 lb. bucket for around $20.00. I purchased it because I wanted to try a calming supplement on my anxious mare, and I didn't want to spend a lot of money.
Likes: I'm absolutely pleased with this supplement. It took about two weeks to take full affect, but it has calmed my excitable mare. I used to struggle getting her to trot completely around the ring. She would constantly test me. I felt like we were never making any progress. Now she focuses on me. It didn't slow her down at all. She is still her quick little self, but is calm and willing. I recommend it to anyone with an anxious and very spirited horse who needs a little something to help with training. The recommended doseage is a small scoop (comes with the scoop) twice a day, but I give her one scoop every other day, or every 2 days and it works just fine.
Dislikes: My horses manure has been runnier, but the vet says she is healthy, and not dehydrated. Apparently the valerian root makes the manure runny.

Summary: If you are thinking about trying a calming supplement but don't want to spend a lot, and want something that works, give Calm and Cool a try. My vet says it's safe, and my horse has maintained her spunk but is calmer, more willing, and focused.
