Purchase: Bought on-line, $35 for 16oz of concentrate (makes a gallon).
Likes: It is natural and has no chemicals. I also like that it is lanolin based, so actually helps with certain skin conditions. It works well in our area, which is notorious for black flies, ticks (we are tick central here!), and mosquitoes. Depending on the weather, I use it every other day. I am completely satisfied with Flicks.
Dislikes: It is rather expensive, but I prefer to pay more for something that works, than to pay less for something that does not. As with any product containing essential oils, it is imperative to mix it exactly as directed and use it exactly as directed, or it can cause skin reactions. It should not be put on very heavily (I do not saturate the skin). I have also found that is seems to cause problems with my sprayers; I'm on my fourth one, including the one that came with my original purchase two years ago, one professional sprayer, and two cheap (under $3) sprayers from our local tack shop. I suspect it is the natural oils in the product. To me, this is a small price to pay for something that works so well.

Summary: I love this fly spray! I have a gelding with sensitive skin, and this has worked wonders for him. It has a big price tag, but I find I use much less of it that regular fly spray. I give it two thumbs up!
