Purchase: I purchased a used Passier Grand Gilbert w/ gusseted panels from Trumbull Mtn Tack Shop for $1450. They were very helpful and shipped the saddle very quickly.
Likes: The saddle is absolutely wonderful. I am tall and am very long from hip to thigh and my knee hardly fits any standard saddles. I fit this one great and it provides support in all the right places. It fits my Hanoverian mare wonderfully as well. Every time I ride and pull off the saddle, the saddle pad marks are even w/ no pressure points.
The leather is soft and supple and the saddle is incredibly well made. The Germans really know how to make their stuff.
I highly recommend this saddle to anyone as it puts you in a great position and is overall just wonderful.
Dislikes: I haven't found any faults with it yet.
Quality: The quality is great. Fine German craftsmanship. The leather is gorgeous and everything is smooth. You can hardly see the stitching and the leather is of the best quality.
Summary: Just sit in one and you will be hooked.
