Purchase: I do not own this product, but began using it in lessons when the horse I ride started getting a sore back.
Likes: The pad is very light weight. It fits nicely under most saddles and really works! That sweet horse was no longer sore in the back. And I didn't realize it, but neither was I. I had always had a sore back because I sit funny in school. I recently went to a show where we used a larger saddle and the pad didn't fit right under it so we had to do without it. Max was sore every time we cantered (and I'm not bad at sitting the canter) and by the end of the day, my back was aching. I skipped school the next day because of it.
Dislikes: It only comes in one size and therefore does not fit quite right under larger saddles.Other than that, I can't really think of much.
Quality: I didn't really get a great look at it yet, as I'm usually in a hurry tacking up. But It seems to be holding up pretty good so far. The only downfall to its construction might be the outer material. It feels like it might absorb some sweat but I'm sure there's a way to clean it.
Summary: Although it may only come in one size, it does work and I think it is very much worth the money. It's not very expensive either. Usually around $40-$60. If you or your horse has been having back problems, save $100 and try the Lami-Cell pad! I bet you'll be glad you did. I'm even going to buy one for my young horse and I to prevent any back problems between the two of us at home.
