Purchase: I purchased my Cortina barely used from Happy Horse Tack in Colorado, I paid $2700. Woohoo! I highly recommend Happy Horse!
Likes: I have a short backed pony with almost flat withers, slightly rising topline towards the croup, WIDE WIDE WIDE arab type. Aside from a X-wide Roosli, this is the ONLY saddle I found that accommodated her wideness without pinching or compromising the balance from pommel to cantel. The up swept panels are great for the shorter back. The deep seat sucks your right down and the flaps encourage correct position without feeling like you are being locked in. And the Leather is beautiful!
Dislikes: I think the gullet could be just a touch wider. Like many other saddles i tried it slipped forward just a hair at the canter, but I solved this by using a contoured girth.
Quality: CLASSY CLASSY CLASSY! This saddle is top quality. It is barely taking any time to break it in. I really like the point billets, and the seat is down right perfect.
Summary: Just because you have a round wide pony doesn't mean you have to get stuck with a cheap exchangeable gullet saddle. This saddle is the solution to fitting problems. I didn't see many used so definitely jump on the trial when you see one, its worth every penny!
