Purchase: I bought this at our feed store - probably paid too much for it ($50).
Likes: We have a OTTB, who had get bored easily. If he is worked a lot, he is fine, but when my daughter is busy with softball season he tends to start eating my fences. I purchased a jolly ball because my sister's horse loved it and he has never once showed any interest in it. I put apple cookies and peppermint cookies in the amazing graze this morning and as soon as he was finished with his hay he went right to it. He has figured out that there are treats in it and has been rolling it around and trying to pick it up all morning. I like that it promotes head down playing as opposed to the toys that hang on strings. He is fed hay and lives in a sandy pasture, so he doesn't get the opportunity to actually graze. Definitely worth the price. Replacing just one post would have cost more than the toy, or the vet bill from eating wood pieces all day.
Dislikes: There were no directions, it was trial and error. Initially I filled it up way too much and he was able to get way too many cookies out. I'd recommend putting only five or so in, because if your horse figures it out he will be able to get everything out of it. I assumed because the inside was SO big you could put a week's worth in there and they would come out slower. They come out pretty easily if you get it rolling correctly.
Quality: Very durable so far. I will update on this. Our horse has chewed up tires, so the fact it is still in one piece is notable.
Summary: I love this toy, and my daughter's horse loves it. I would highly recommend it to any bored horse owners.
