Purchase: I paid £2 for this at a local tack shop. I bought a few at treats for my horses to fit into a Tongue Twister (bought specifically for use with mini lickits).
Likes: They are simple licks, which smell lovely! My horses absolutely adored the sweetest ones which were the cherry and banana flavours! I didnt they they'd like these 2 as they're quite odd things for horses (unlike the usual garlic, apple etc. others). I've found these MOST useful for stressy times, for example the other day I simply held a cherry likit in my hand and my baby horse licked it for ages until the farrier had finished (usually he misbehaves)! All mine LOVED the taste.
Dislikes: They didn't work that well in the tongue twister they were in as in the end the likits broke up and fell out..... Not good as I didnt want my horses eating big chunks of the licks.
It depends on your horse but 2 of mine loved them so much, they wouldnt stop licking until they were gone! Then they had weird coloured (yellow or pink etc.) gunky lips! Whereas my other horses got bored with them but I think this is only because they got frustrated with the Tongue Twister they were in!
Quality: They're well made and must taste delicious. They smell really strongly of their flavour too. However, they can crack up into pieces so Id watch your horses with them in case this happens as Id hate mine to try to eat big chunks of very hard stuff!
Summary: Very useful for stressful situations where you want your horse to be calm and amused (such as with the farrier, vet etc.). They're very cheap and horses love them!
