Purchase: I purchased a used Ansur Classic dressage saddle in Victoria, BC for $1,100 CDN. My hard to fit Paint mare has a high wither and round barrel so it's very hard to find a saddle that wouldn't bridge and wouldn't slip. This saddle was my third in three years.
Likes: Contrary to the only other review posted at this time, I LOVE this saddle and, more importantly, so does my mare! We did a 4 1/2 hour trail ride (medium to hard ride) and the saddle didn't budge, rub or slip. My position was perfect and I was supremely comfortable the whole time. Best of all, my mare's back (loin area) was sound after the ride. I love how light this saddle is (18lb with fittings).
Dislikes: There's nothing I don't like (again, contrary to previous reviewer).
Quality: Fabulous workmanship, great quality leather, nice looking.
Summary: If I ever have to buy another saddle, it will be an Ansur. I have finally found a saddle that lives up to the promises made.
