Purchase: I was looking for a new jumping/close contact saddle, so I found this saddle on ebay, and paid $461 (no fittings) including shipping. I think it retails new between $1,00 and $1,500 depending on where you get it. Mine was a demo used 4 or so times, and it arrived with some faint rubs where stirrups might have been. Hardly noticeable though.
Likes: I like the recessed stirrup bars, smooth soft leather, comfy seat and knee rolls, squared cantle, basically everything about it. It's very comfortable to ride in even though its not completely broken in yet.
Dislikes: I wish the knee rolls were a bit more forward, but it fits me really well anyway. Also there are some extra dee rings on one side, I wish there were more on the other side, but it doesn't really bother me too much.
Quality: The leather seems to be of high quality, the stitching tough. The "courbette" buttons on the points of the tree seem to be of the new version, its a red background with horse head on it, instead of the swiss symbol. It appears and feels to be a high quality product.
Summary: I love this saddle so much more than the old one I was using!
