Purchase: I purchased this saddle from Bahrs Saddlery, my first saddle, for around $1200.
Likes: It has a nice soft seat and a very nice colour to it.
Dislikes: I disliked many things about this saddle. The way the seat is constructed, it pushed me forward, not allowing me to sit with my hips at a 90 degree angle. The seat and knee patches darkened much faster than the rest of the saddle. It scuffed very easily on the leg flaps and the flap closest to the horse is very unsightly and rough.
Quality: The construction is great and I like the idea of the interchangeable gullet.
Overall, not the nicest leather but it will suffice for a first saddle.
Summary: I hate this saddle. I found it to put my entire position out of whack. I am now selling mine as it hinders my position greatly. I reccomend it for those looking for an affordable first saddle; however if you can, I would recommend skipping the collegiate brand.
