Purchase: I can't remember who I originally purchased this from, but I got my second one from Dr. Foster and Smith for under $50 with shipping. That's about the average price that I've found.
Likes: I purchased this toy to give my mare some mental stimulus when she had nothing else to do. Teaching her to use it was extremely easy. I started by putting treats in it (usually animal crackers or alfalfa cubes) and then showing her a piece that was tucked beneath the toy. She learned that pushing the toy usually revealed a treat and within 10 minutes had it figured out.
My other OTTB mare was 22 at the time I bought our first Amazing Graze and wanted no part of it. However, by watching my youngest she soon learned what the toy did. The two began stealing it from each other, forcing me to buy another one.
Dislikes: I wish the hole that dispenses the treats was a tiny bit smaller. Unless you put large treats in it, the fun doesn't last long. I have since placed large items such as rocks in the toy to slow down the dispensing of treats.
Quality: This toy is extremely durable. I purchased the first one for my youngest OTTB. She was 7 at the time and is now 9. The toy looks like it did the day it arrived (granted it's a little dirtier). It's held up amazingly well.
Summary: I'd recommend this toy to anyone over the others on the market. They can be used in stalls and in pastures. My mares enjoy them so much that they will walk the entire distance of the pasture when they see me carrying them.
